What Aura is
Aura is the adaptive design system of Morna: one disciplined core — seven laws that never move — and everything a person feels bends to its owner. Theme, density, motion, even how forwardly the software speaks, take the owner’s shape.
This documentation is set in the system it describes. Flip the contract in the top bar — theme, density, motion — and every specimen on every page obeys. That is not a demo gimmick; it is the system’s first law working in front of you.
The spine, in one breath
- The interface is the guest. The owner is the house; preferences always win.
- One accent means do. A single accent carries every actionable moment — Morna ink by default, any color the owner picks, always held to its contrast floors.
- Authorship is always named. Every piece of work carries who did it — a name, a role, an initial. Identity is never a hue.
- Proof is earned. A figure renders only while every source is live; the proof is the evidence, not a change of font.
- Shape says what, light says who. Two independent axes; readable without color.
- Motion is meaning. Named clocks, honored reduced-motion, nothing pulses to seem alive.
- The page ends. Surfaces are finite and say so — this is software you are encouraged to leave.
Each law has a full chapter under Foundations; each pattern that enforces one has a page under Components, with the live specimen and the code that produces it.
Aura documents what the product actually ships — the components here are imported from the same
@morna/ui package the app runs, and the identity specimens run the same resolver. Nothing on these pages is a drawing of the system; it is the system.
